Gilmore Girls Book Club began when I found the Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge. I got excited. I posted. Other people got excited. They posted. We discussed. We messaged. We texted.

 

But then I decided that I didn't want to go solely off of someone else's list. I assume they took great time and care in compiling their list, but, being the hardcore fan that I am, I wanted to know the background to each literary reference on Gilmore Girls. And thus was born this site. For people who's relationship with GG is probably unhealthy.

 

Here I will post the literary references made in GG with the background that you need to make informed decisions about whether it's actually something you need to read to be a greater part of the Gilmore inner circle, or whether you can live without it, just as they did. You will also find the chronicling of my adventures with Rory's Gilmore's book list as I read them concurrently with my Gilmore Girls Book Club.
